What Work Is: Poems Philip Levine
Beautiful, personal, almost polemical poems about labor and life
in the United States. Levine, and this book in particular, have had a profound influence
on my poetry. re-read it for National Poetry Month.
Loved it again, though this time I read it with some heartache because it is my
last, and I’m no longer writing poetry.
